Jen Wolf appointed chief insurance officer for the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust
The League of Minnesota Cities (LMC) has named Jen Wolf as its new chief insurance officer. She replaces Dan Greensweig, who retired May 1 after nine years as administrator of the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust (LMCIT).
As chief insurance officer, Wolf will oversee the management and strategic planning for the 1,200-member insurance pool that provides property/casualty and workers’ compensation coverage to cities and other governmental entities across Minnesota.
Wolf has been with LMC since 2023, most recently serving as LMCIT deputy administrator. Prior to joining LMC, she served as head of the Dakota County Attorney’s Office Civil Division. She was also previously employed by the Minnesota Counties Intergovernmental Trust, where she worked in litigation management and provided risk management advice and training in areas such as employment issues, the Data Practices Act, and the Open Meeting Law. In addition, she has worked for the law firm of Ratwik, Roszak & Maloney, and as an assistant city attorney for the City of Bloomington. Wolf holds a law degree from the University of Minnesota.
“Jen brings a strong combination of experience, insight, and forward-thinking leadership that will serve our members and Minnesota cities well,” said LMC Executive Director Luke Fischer. “Over the past three years, she has worked closely alongside retiring insurance administrator Dan Greensweig, gaining valuable perspective and meeting with city leaders across the state. She truly cares about supporting and protecting local governments, and we’re glad to have her leading as our members navigate risk in the future.”
