CONSTRUCTION SERVICES. The Vadnais Lake Area Water Management Organization (VLAWMO) is accepting bids until 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1 for the construction of the Lambert Lake Improvements Project. Major components of the work include sheet pile removal and installation, excavation of stream meander, and restoration. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at the project site. Representatives of owner and engineer will be present to discuss the project. Bidders are required to attend and participate. The project notice is available at http://www.vlawmo.org/. DESIGN STANDARDS UPDATE. Wayzata is seeking a qualified consultant to recommend updates to the City’s Design Standards, found in Chapter 909 of the Wayzata Code of Ordinances. Wayzata is accepting proposals until Oct. 5. A full copy of the RFP can be found at https://www.wayzata.org/657/Zoning-Study-2020-2022. The recommendations must be based on a visual preference survey distributed widely in the community, knowledge of best practices in the fields of architecture and urban design, and input from City staff, Zoning Study Task Force, Planning Commission, and City Council. The city is seeking a consultant to provide leadership and expertise to ensure that the changes recommended to the Design Standards meet the goals of the 2040 Comprehensive Plan, relieve administrative burden on the city, and are adopted by the Wayzata City Council in spring of 2021. FIRE DEPARTMENT MANAGEMENT SERVICES. Nowthen is currently developing their own all-hazards department to handle local emergencies such as fires, explosions, high priority medicals, water emergencies, weather related incidents, and the like. The community has been under a long-term contract with a neighboring city that will be ending in December 2021. The city currently has its own fire station and equipment but needs to transition the staff and procedures under the control of the City of Nowthen. This is a high level position with the primary focus on implementing programs, systems, and practices and recruiting staff to fill the station. The candidate will also act on behalf of the city to procure items and equipment as defined in the approved budget. The objectives of the position have been prepared in draft. Portion of this position could be conducted off site. HISTORIC REUSE PLAN. The Montevideo EDA is hereby soliciting Proposals/Bids to complete a Historic Reuse Plan/Assessment for the Historic Chippewa Bank Building at 302 N 1st st, Montevideo, MN 56265. Within this assessment the EDA would like to see a conditions assessment of the building itself, including estimated costs of necessary renovations needed to make the building operational, along with the potential reuses. Any entity that is chosen to move forward with this project is subject to final approval by the USDA. STORM WATER UTILITY RATE STUDY. Wyoming, MN is requesting proposals from qualified vendors to prepare a rate study for its storm water utility.  The full RFP in its entirety can be found at www.wyomingmn.org/rfps.
