Appointment opportunities

The League of Minnesota Cities is often asked by the governor, state Legislature, and other organizations to appoint or nominate city officials to serve on a committee, commission, or task force. Many of these are statewide in scope and require commitment of time, some travel, and an understanding of legislative issues and municipal concerns from the viewpoint of a variety of city types, sizes, and locations. The League solicits applications from members in a variety of ways. There are also state appointment opportunities that city officials can apply for through the Office of the Secretary of State. These opportunities, along with the application process, are posted here when they occur.
