LMC Board Approves Preliminary Dues Increase
Member cities have received preliminary dues notices for fiscal year 2026, with the Board scheduled to set the final rate in November.
The League of Minnesota Cities (LMC) recently sent out a preliminary notice of a maximum 5% increase in membership dues for fiscal year 2026. The notice was sent via email to the top appointed official (typically the city administrator, manager, or clerk) of each member city. If there is no email address on file with the League, the preliminary notice was sent via USPS mail.
The LMC Board of Directors approved the maximum 5% dues increase at its Aug. 21 meeting. Setting the maximum dues schedule increase is similar to a city setting its preliminary levy increase, in that the final dues schedule increase approved by the LMC Board cannot exceed the preliminary approved increase. The Board will formally discuss and approve a final dues schedule, along with the League’s fiscal year 2026 budget, at its November 2025 meeting.
If your city has not yet received your 2026 LMC preliminary dues notice, a copy can be obtained by contacting the League at [email protected] or (651) 215-4024.
