Cities Invited To Join League Booth at People of Color Career Fair
The League is inviting cities to join its booth at the People of Color Career Fair to recruit talent and share the benefits of working for a city.
The League of Minnesota Cities is inviting member cities to participate in the People of Color Career Fair on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the St. Paul RiverCentre. Cities may staff a spot in the League’s booth at no cost to connect with a diverse pool of emerging and experienced talent and to share the advantages of careers in city government.
The People of Color Career Fair attracts attendees from a wide range of backgrounds, including recent college graduates, midcareer professionals, and experienced candidates seeking new opportunities. The event provides cities with a chance to meet candidates in person, promote open positions, and highlight the unique benefits of working in local government.
Each city may send one representative for the full day or split time between two staff members, provided only one person per city staffs the booth at a time. Priority for placement in the booth will be given to cities that have not previously participated. The League aims to include representatives from a variety of departments, such as human resources, communications, finance, parks and recreation, public works, and public safety, to facilitate more meaningful, department-specific conversations with job seekers.
