Find key considerations and concepts for options in leave benefits, other employee benefit programs and events.  Understand benefits eligibility, benefits contribution structures, and requirements for offering benefit continuation (COBRA).  Typical benefits include insurance benefits such as health, dental, life, short and long term disability and long term care. Leave benefits often include paid holidays, funeral, sick, vacation, PTO and the ability to donate leave. Leave practices are tied to legal requirements for military leave, voting leave, family medical leave (FMLA); parental, sick child care, and school conference leave.  Discusses other programs such as such as tuition assistance or recognition programs, and participation and protection in state programs like PERA (Public Employees Retirement Association) and coverage by workers compensation laws.
