Brady-Giglio law requires prosecutors to disclose to the defense information with apparent exculpatory value, including evidence that could be used to impeach the credibility of law enforcement witnesses. This session will provide a bird’s-eye overview of prosecutor obligations, existing case law, updates from the 2026 Minnesota legislative session, and best practices as they relate to the disclosure of law enforcement officer personnel records during the discovery process.
