The 2013 Legislature sent 144 chapters of new law to Gov. Dayton. How do these laws affect cities? Find out with the League's 2013 Law Summaries! The law summaries, prepared annually by the League's IGR staff, help city officials understand new laws affecting city operations, and provide information on vetoed bills and other bills that didn't survive the legislative process.

The League’s four policy committees are in the process of developing 2014 policies now, and we'll have draft policies to share soon. The committees shape the League’s legislative agenda for the next year. Their meetings are devoted to identifying emerging municipal issues as well as formulating draft positions on issues of municipal concern.
