Join us for a free 5-day digital learning challenge!
City leaders care deeply about their communities and are focused on improving services and creating welcoming, engaged cities where all people want to live, work, and play. Building those communities starts with civility, from modeling respectful behavior and navigating difficult conversations to building trust after conflict. But knowing how to put these practices into action can be challenging. That’s why this five-day learning challenge is designed to be simple and easy to follow.
How does it work?
Each day for five days beginning Monday, Nov. 16, participants will receive an email with a curated selection of resources related to that day’s topic. Topics will explore practical ways city leaders can promote civility, foster respectful interactions, navigate challenges on social media, and respond to conflict and personal attacks.
If you are looking for more, the section labeled “dive deeper” on each day’s email provides an opportunity to interact with lengthier resources such as toolkits, guides, and recorded webinars to further explore how you might apply the topic in your work.
Ultimately, cities have different needs, challenges, and goals. A variety of resources are provided. Use what is useful, leave what is not.
By participating in the five-day challenge you will:
- Grow your understanding of various topics related to ensuring your city is welcoming and engaging to all.
- Engage with diverse subject matter experts.
- Build your knowledge of different ways to approach city services.
