New employees
Trisha Meyer joined the League of Minnesota Cities on Nov. 24 as an HR generalist. Before joining the League, Meyer served as the lead human resources specialist for training and development with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Rocky Mountain Network, where she led strategic HR training initiatives. She also worked as an assistant federal security director with the Transportation Security Administration in South Dakota and served in the U.S. Army.
Matt Nelles joined the League of Minnesota Cities on Nov. 24 as an IT member consultant. Nelles brings experience from his most recent role with the Western Area Power Administration, where he served as an IT specialist, led a cross-functional IT team, and managed federally regulated projects.
McKaia Dykema joined the League of Minnesota Cities on Nov. 18 as a staff attorney. Most recently, Dykema served as an associate attorney at Kennedy & Graven, where she provided civil legal counsel to municipalities on a wide range of issues. Prior to that, she was the legislative research manager at the National League of Cities, where she co-managed legal advocacy efforts, developed legislative strategies, and served as a subject matter expert on legal issues affecting local governments nationwide.
