What will the League be working on this session, and how can you show city priorities some love?

Tune into this Valentine’s Day webinar to hear from the League’s intergovernmental relations (IGR) team about what cities can expect when the session convenes on February 20. You’ll get up to date on the League’s work on priority issues, including:

  • Bonding dollars for water, housing, and transportation
  • Broadband policy and funding
  • City street funding
  • Housing
  • Local Government Aid (LGA) funding
  • Pension sustainability
  • And other issues important to cities

You’ll also learn how to show your love of cities at the Capitol as IGR staff help you discover how to advance these legislative priorities and work with legislators during the session.

Make a date with the IGR team this Valentine’s Day to:

  • Understand the political landscape and how the governor and legislative leaders will likely approach key decisions during the session
  • Learn about the policy development process, priority issues for the upcoming session, and how you can help shape and advocate for city policies
  • Find out ways to get the latest city legislative news and influence key issues at the legislature during the 2018 session

Put the knowledge you gain during this webinar into action as you hear updates on League priorities, explore how to advocate in an era of preemption, and discuss city priorities with your legislators. After selling out in 2017, the conference will be held at a new location, Christ on Capitol Hill Church (view map), just one block from the League and across the street from the Capitol.
