Reminder: Send Your Thoughts on City Legislative Policies by Oct. 25

Once finalized, the legislative policies will guide the League’s advocacy efforts at the state Capitol in 2020.

The League’s four legislative policy committees adopted the Draft 2020 City Policies during their final meetings this month. The policies in draft form are now available for members to review.

Please take a moment to download the draft policies, review them, and send your comments to the League. You can also read the 2019 Policy Committee Highlights to easily see the changes the committees are recommending.

How to share comments

Submit comments on the draft policies to The comment period ends Oct. 25.

Next steps

All member comments are shared with the League Board of Directors before the Board takes final action on the policies on Nov. 7. The policies will serve as a framework for the League’s advocacy efforts during the 2020 legislative session, which begins Feb. 11, 2019.
