Your role as city clerk is an essential function in city government. Only one person occupies your position, and much is expected in this demanding and challenging role with regard to duties and statutory responsibility. Learning the hows and whys of your role is important, but it’s just as important to understand that you’re a leader in city hall and in your community. This session will reflect on, and highlight, the leadership expectations of your new role.
Does your job as city clerk include providing technology support? If so, you are not alone! Many city clerks are tasked with wearing the hat of tech support. Walk through some common technical questions, review model policies and resources, and touch on your cybersecurity coverage through the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust (LMCIT).
