Mark your calendars and save the date for the League’s 2020 Legislative Conference, March 18-19 in St. Paul! This is your yearly chance to sit down with your city colleagues and discuss what’s going on at the Capitol, advocate for city priorities, get updates on legislation impacting cities, explore the new political environment, and meet with your legislators.
Get a head start on the action by coming to St. Paul Wednesday afternoon. You’ll have the opportunity to choose from pre-conference sessions on housing, tips on how to advocate at the Capitol, or other hot topics. Then, you’ll join your city colleagues, state legislators, and League staff for a reception at the Rathskeller Café.

It’s never too early to schedule a meeting with your legislators! Start planning your trip to the Capitol by arranging time to meet with your legislators during the reception at the Rathskeller Café on March 18 or during the afternoon on March 19.

New for 2020! Show your city spirit on the steps of the State Capitol building. Included with registration, you will get a League of Minnesota Cities spirit scarf. During the conference, the League will bring attendees to the Capitol for a special city spirit photo.

Christ on Capitol Hill is one block from the League building and about four blocks from the Capitol Ridge Hotel. If you’re staying at a conference hotel, you can keep your car parked there during the conference. Not staying overnight? You can also park at the League — the conference is being held only one block away!
The League will provide a free looping shuttle bus that will go from the conference hotels, Christ on Capitol Hill Church, the Capitol, and the League.
