Legislative Panel on Local Government Issues
Hear insights from legislative leaders on proposals impacting cities, including infrastructure fees, annexation, elections, local control, and more! Find out about the party caucus priorities that will shape the debate during the 2019 legislative session.

Update on City Legislative Priorities from the League IGR Team
Learn about the League’s legislative priorities and other important issues that affect cities, and what cities can expect during the rest of the session. During this time, you’ll also review key messages and strategies for sharing how proposals impact your city and hear about League resources and follow-up actions to take in support of this year’s legislative priorities.

Discussion with New State Agency Leadership
The Walz Administration will work with the only split Legislature in the country. Get to know commissioners who will be leading state agencies that work with cities, learn about the One Minnesota policy agenda and budget proposals, and discover where they see opportunities for bipartisan agreement.

Remarks from League Leadership and Send-off to the State Capitol
Hear from the League’s leadership about the important role you play in city advocacy and how you can carry that work forward during afternoon legislative visits and after you return to your cities.

Enjoy lunch with your city colleagues before heading to the capitol for afternoon legislative visits.

Meetings with Legislators
Sit down with your legislators, or find them on the floor with help from League staff. Use the skills and information you acquired during the conference to effectively advocate for issues that are important to your city.
