Pre-Conference Workshop: Intercultural Development & Communication
Wednesday, June 26—9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Begin the day focusing on how you can increase cultural self-awareness, deepen cross-cultural understanding, and adapt your communication approach to be more effective or responsive. Explore your intercultural communication style, learn about different communication strategies, discover skills to help you when resolving disputes, and more.

Finish this session with a presentation on the benefits of inclusive growth with Tawanna Black, founder and CEO of the Center for Economic Inclusion. You’ll learn how the Center is working to ensure all residents have opportunities to benefit from, and contribute to, economic prosperity in their region. There is an additional $30 fee for this pre-conference workshop; pre-registration is required to participate. This pre-conference session includes a one-hour lunch.

Pre-Conference Tour: Duluth Experience Bus Tour
Wednesday, June 26—1-3 p.m.
Hop aboard a bus and get ready to see ideas in action across Duluth. During this scenic tour, you’ll hear stories from a local guide and learn how Duluth’s history connects to its present and future. There is an additional $35 fee for this pre-conference workshop; pre-registration is required to participate.

Pre-Conference Tour: Duluth Experience Walking Tour
Wednesday, June 26—1-3 p.m.
Stretch your legs and see the sights before the conference during this tour of Duluth. You’ll hear stories from a local guide as you get to explore Duluth’s rich history and connect with the present-day city. There is an additional $25 fee for this pre-conference workshop; pre-registration is required to participate.
