Cities Can Request to Host a COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic

Community vaccination events bring vaccines to people who would otherwise have a hard time getting vaccinated.

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), local health departments, vaccine providers, and community partners are working together to provide local community COVID-19 vaccination opportunities. Community vaccination events bring vaccines to people who would otherwise have a hard time getting vaccinated.

If your city is interested in hosting a vaccine pop-up clinic, complete a request form to notify MDH of your interest. Everything you need to get started — including a step-by-step guide to market your event, templates, translated materials, and messaging — can be found on the MDH website.

A little extra incentive

Gov. Tim Walz launched the ‘Your Shot to Summer’ vaccine rewards campaign encouraging Covid-19 vaccinations by July 1.

The first 100,000 Minnesotans age 12 and older who get their first COVID-19 vaccine dose May 27 through June 30 will be eligible to choose a reward from a list of options. Rewards include state parks passes, fishing licenses, and tickets to various summer attractions such as the State Fair.

Minnesotans can learn more, verify that they received their dose, and choose their preferred vaccine reward on the state’s COVID-19 website
