Minnesota Brownfields is now accepting applications for its annual ReScape Awards. The deadline is noon on Sept. 11.
Applicants can be an individual, company, organization, governmental body or agency, or a group comprised of any of these. Applications may be submitted by any party having an interest or involvement in a project. The project must be a redeveloped brownfield which has been completed and ready for use between Jan. 1, 2012 and Aug. 31, 2014.
For purposes of this award, “brownfields” are environmentally impaired, abandoned, or under-utilized properties, and “completed and ready for use” refers to built developments (ready for occupancy) and open space or infrastructure (end use is functioning as intended).
